Three-phase motors
Three-phase motors are generally understood to be electric motors that are built according to the generally applicable standards as asynchronous three-phase motors. The asynchronous motor is the most commonly used electric motor with outputs of up to several megawatts. A major advantage over brushed DC motors is the lack of brushes, as brushes wear out and create sparks. As a result, the line network can be disturbed with high-frequency vibrations. But not only the higher performance, but also the better synchronization, i.e. the constant power output at the shaft, is a great advantage of the three-phase motors.
The new generation of GEMOTEG three-phase motors in an aluminum housing are manufactured in accordance with our specifications and ISO 9001. They feature a multi-mounting aluminum housing; protection class IP55/ Iso F; a ZZ warehouse as well as the IEC standards and are suitable for frequency converter operation. Available with PTC thermistor sensor, PTO temperature bimetallic contact or external fan.
Our three-phase motors are built according to the following relevant standards:
Rotating electrical machines Efficiency classes IEC60034-30 Ratings and operational characteristics: IEC 60034-1 Degrees of protection: IEC 60034-5
Cooling method: IEC 60034-6
Designation for designs and installation: IEC 60034-7
Connection designation and sense of rotation: IEC 60034-8
Noise limits: IEC 60034-8
Starting behavior of squirrel-cage motors at 50 Hz: IEC 60034-12
Mechanical vibration: IEC 60034-14
IEC standard voltages: IEC 38
The large terminal box or connection box made of aluminum can be rotated 4 x 90°. For sizes 56 to 80, this is provided with a cable gland. Sizes 90 to 160 have a cable gland and a sealing plug. The terminal box can be positioned anywhere on the right or left side by adjusting the feet.
Of course, you can get our three-phase motors as IE3 motors or using a frequency converter in IE2 and with an attached gearbox as geared motors. On request also as an explosion-proof motor according to ATEX guidelines.
