Single phase motor / AC motor
Single-phase motors, also known as AC motors, are supplied with an operating capacitor as standard and are used specifically in firefighting equipment technology and in the private user sector. For improved/reinforced starting behavior, we recommend our single-phase motors with starting and operating capacitors. The start-up capacitor increases the starting torque of the electric motor from 70% to 130%. The largest available power that we offer is 3.0 kW - for the German market, however, only single-phase motors with a power of up to 2.2 kW can be used. On request, we can also supply you with our electric motors in UL and CSA-compliant versions. You can use identification file numbers E176350 for UL and LR109925 for CSA for the motors.
All single-phase motors or AC motors listed can be supplied with country-specific connection voltages and also with a brake. On request, you can also get our electric motors as explosion-proof motors in accordance with ATEX directives, as well as geared motors directly with a built-on gearbox.

Single phase motor / AC motor
At a glance
Single-phase motors or AC motors are two-phase asynchronous motors that are operated on a single-phase AC voltage network. Our motors are available with starting and operating capacitors as well as with a centrifugal switch. This makes it possible to use the motors in drives with larger counter-torques. Compared to three-phase motors, these motors offer the advantage of a low starting torque with the same power and size. They are among the most common electric motors in the field of drive technology and can be used in many ways.
